Detour DetailsBack to Gallery
Detour was featured on the cover of the July/August 2000 edition of Needlepoint Now. Squares and triangles have been a constant in the quilters’ world for eons. Transpose this quilt design of squares and triangles into a needlepoint canvasquilt and you have a fascinating geometric called Detour stitched in many different values and textures of red. In the summer of 1999 the Federal Government stated there is no place in this country where you can drive more than 40 miles on a major roadway without “road work” or “detour” signs appearing. This is a spoof of the last summer of the millennium.
