Enjoy creating a basket band of thirteen variations of the eight-pointed star quilt block on #18 canvas using beautiful values of violet, teal, rose, gray, red-violet and green. A wide variety of stitches including composite are used to duplicate quilt fabrics – plaids, plains, small and large prints, calicoes and stripes. These stitches in six-stranded cotton support the design by creating on canvas a replica of the fabric design. A wide border with bar crossed corner blocks links each star pattern together. A plaited stitch surrounds each quilt block.
